The Big Relationship

Over the course of many lifetimes we have experienced the full complexity of being human: rich and poor, women and man, abuser and abused. Each face of experience has given us another window through which to view ourselves and divinity.

It is all the same light, the same love. As we have twisted it and been twisted, that love has split and become the multitude of all possibility, and within that, the truth of everything that has been or will ever be human.

How is it that someone could feel nothing but intense desire to hurt an innocent child? Or rape a beautiful girl? By submitting ourselves to environments of intense abuse we have learned how all this can happen first hand. At the deepest level we are all the others in our world. In the full multidimensionality of our selves we have become intimate with every face of humanity within and without.

There is a deep wisdom we each carry that knows this truth: knows the importance of accepting all of our selves so we can be whole, and in that wholeness, find ourselves once more in the oneness of source. This is why when we judge something it magnetizes us on an ultimate trajectory of becoming what we feel superior to. While on the surface this may be your worst nightmare, a deeper part of you is teaching you to accept that part of yourself by experiencing things through it’s eyes. This mysterious force is your soul, guiding you to the poverty you despise, to the wealth you feel guilty about and to the crimes you abhor. Beneath all the twisted journeys that we take is a luminous intention to make peace with and to love all that is with compassion and understanding.

Action: Forgive and accept yourself, as you show up in the  faces of the world. Choose the path of compassion and understanding.
