Serving from Within

We have lost the conceptual framework to understand and embrace the value of supporting others to become more. What has replaced it is a myopic  paradigm of “It’s either me or you, and I want what’s best for me so you can take care of yourself.”

It was not too long ago that people would willingly devote their entire lives to building a cathedral that would not be complete in their lifetime. Others would fund it, knowing they would not be alive to see it finished. There was an awareness that something bigger was happening that would be a blessing to humanity and our ancestors chose to be a part of that.

Today the greatest projects are within. There is an enormous amount of awkward stumbling happening as we find new ways to be with ourselves, heal wounds and access our potential. We may never reap the rewards of this work fully. We may never find the answers to many of our questions. However our work is paving a way for the generations that follow. It serves them. They may triumph where we have failed.

Can we celebrate our work, our growth, our stumbling, knowing it may never take us fully where we want to go, but will enable those that come after to triumph? Can we receive the gifts of our ancestry, for whom we are the triumph?

Action: Make a conscious choice to become all you can be as an offering to the larger humanity who will build on your inner work.
