Learning to Love

The challenge we face is that we are all incapable of loving ourselves as we deserve to be loved. This is an unbearable pain to be aware of. Sometimes we face it in another when they show us their beauty and they shimmer with the radiance of God and Goddess. We do not know how to sustainably love them in the way they deserve. So we turn away from the beauty in others that brings us face to face with our inadequacy to do it justice. And many of us hide our own beauty in the fear that in our radiance others will feel unworthy to love us. We keep turning the volume of our radiance down in the hope that at some point others will feel worthy to love us and give us the messy, human love we all need. This truth can help us understand why it is often our beauty that enrages those around us and triggers rejection more than our mediocrity.

Action: Forgive yourself for being unable to love yourself in the divine faces that are your essential nature. Forgive yourself for dulling your beauty down so you could be loved by others. Forgive all of us for not knowing how to love the god, and goddess within.
