It's the Eyes that Count
This book is a by product of sight. These by products serve as an incomplete map through the terrain of life. But life does not fit neatly within any map that can be expressed adequately in words. For mastery we need to develop our own eyes that can reveal the divine truth. Trusting another’s vision, however clear, is no substitute for a pair of eyes.
Our ego self is an eye, that through our physical senses (also eyes) allows us to directly experience the world around us in three dimensions. Our mind gives us the added eyes of the sense of time and imagination. Without memory we would have no lens to perceive time. Without imagination we would have no eye to see possibility.
There are infinite dimensions that most of us have no awareness of because we have no eye to perceive them. Each of us must choose to cultivate or open to these dimensions in order to see reality on those levels. As we do, things that seemed crazy before make more and more sense and other things that made sense seem crazy.
Among the many eyes that can see truth, there is an eye that perceives the reality of our being as a humanity with the same clarity of experience that we perceive our different body parts as part of one body. It is only through this eye that many “problems” will cease to exist. It must be done by reaching beyond intellectual comprehension into a visceral knowing.
Once you have developed this sight, the challenge becomes being conscious of the eyes you look through and the different things you see from each set of eyes. It is not about abandoning the eye that sees you as a distinct individual. It is about reaching beyond and becoming aware of the timeless self that experiences both simultaneously. That, however, cannot be comprehended by your ego personality.
Do you know who you are beyond your ego personality? Do you know “you” beyond the ego lenses of perception? It is one of those “you”s that can provide you access to your timeless self. Ultimately, grace comes from being able to navigate elegantly through the lenses of perception in the same way we use different computer programs to process and develop a piece of information.
Action: Consider shifting your focus from technique to cultivating eyes that give you direct guidance. Psychic schools, art, healing work and meditation are all spaces that are conducive to expanding consciousness.
